Overview of CT Technologist
IDR’s largest healthcare client is seeking a CT Tech to join our largest client in Sandy Springs! This individual will assist physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of patients by providing diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities of the CT Tech:
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure they’re usable
- Updating patient medical information
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
- Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1+ years of professional CT experience required
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) required
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association required
