Overview:
We’re seeking a caring and dependable Paraprofessional to support students and teachers in the classroom. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering instruction, reinforcing learning objectives, and promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction under the guidance of a certified teacher
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students to reinforce learning concepts
- Assist in implementing behavior support plans and classroom management strategies
- Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom activities
- Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and lunch/recess areas
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or completion of paraprofessional assessment preferred
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow teacher direction and adapt to student needs
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
