Job Title: Paraprofessional
Job Type: Full-Time | School-Year Contract
Pay Range: $20-22/Hour
Overview:
We’re seeking a dependable and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students and teachers in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs reach their academic, social, and behavioral goals.
Responsibilities:
• Provide instructional support under the direction of the classroom or special education teacher
• Assist students individually or in small groups with academic tasks, behavior support, and classroom participation
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention plans as directed
• Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs when applicable
• Reinforce positive behavior and encourage student independence and engagement
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized, safe learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure student success
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school, district, and IDEA guidelines
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
• Paraprofessional certification or ability to obtain (state-specific requirements apply)
• Experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow teacher direction and implement individualized supports
