Job Title: Surgical Technologist – 5K Sign On Bonus
Department: Surgical Services
Pay: $22-$36/hr
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this role supports surgical and invasive procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Reports To: Clinical Leader, RN Manager, or Director of Surgical Services

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures by setting up and maintaining sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Serve as the scrub person for operative cases, passing instruments and anticipating surgical team needs.
- Ensure sterile field integrity and address contamination issues as needed.
- Perform counts with the circulating RN to ensure patient safety.
- Help clean and turn over ORs between procedures.
- Transport used instruments for decontamination and processing.
- Follow infection control and universal precaution protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development related to perioperative practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program OR 5 years of surgical tech experience required.
Experience:
- 1 year of perioperative experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- No certification required.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required within first week of employment and must be maintained.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR workflows.
- Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Initiative in maintaining job-related expertise.
