MRI Technologist
Location: Alpharetta (Outpatient)
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Certifications Required: BLS Certification & ARRT Certification OR MRI Certification
Preferred Experience: Siemens MRI scanner experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:
Technical & Clinical Duties
- Perform MRI scans independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and compliance.
- Obtain patient history and screen for any contraindications to MRI compatibility.
- Initiate IVs, draw blood, and test creatinine levels as needed.
- Adjust and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the scanning process to ensure high-quality imaging.
- Inject IV contrasts safely while monitoring patient response.
- Monitor vital signs and provide immediate assistance if a patient experiences discomfort or a medical emergency.
Patient Care & Communication
- Interview and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing any concerns to alleviate anxiety.
- Maintain open communication with physicians regarding imaging, biopsy, and treatment procedures.
- Assist with patient and family education to ensure understanding of procedures and next steps.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Review images for clarity and completeness, performing additional scans if necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging data and procedural documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked work area.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the entire healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
