Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Qualifications:

  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or actively in the process of obtaining licensure).

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Minimum of one year of professional experience preferred.

  • Additional requirements may apply depending on assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders.

  • Assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, evaluate progress, and modify care to achieve therapy goals.

  • Work with patients on speech, voice, language, and communication skills to improve effectiveness.

  • Implement strategies to strengthen swallowing muscles and/or teach compensatory techniques for safe swallowing.

  • Establish realistic, individualized goals to help patients restore or enhance communication and swallowing abilities for educational, vocational, and social engagement.
