Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support learners with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs in a school setting. This role is responsible for delivering individualized instruction, implementing effective intervention strategies, and creating a structured, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and passionate about helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations

• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and abilities

• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications

• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required special education records

• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and educational goals

• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field

• Active state teaching certification in Special Education

• Strong knowledge of IEP development, behavioral supports, and instructional best practices

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
